networking in San Jose

Jessi and I went to meet with a school in a poor district here in San Jose. This organization has a private school and teaches the children in this community. A contact, who one of our leaders here on base, took us there and was very kind and informative. She works with kids here in San Jose.

At the school we meet the organization's director. She was interested in the training we have to offer her teachers and for local members of the church.  It felt good to begin making contacts and to become more aware of the need here locally. It was informative and will guide us better as to how to organize the training. I was able to communicate without a translator. It felt good to have made contacts and be able to communicate with locals.

Thank you Lord for the first of many doors you will be opening for us here and abroad to receive help and give help and to start bettering the lives of children at risk all over.
